Dr. Jenny Fuh
Dr. Jenny Fuh grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan and graduated with her B.Sc. (Hon) at the University of Saskatchewan before moving to Edmonton for her dental training at the University of Alberta, where she graduated in 1987. She practiced in Didsbury and Calgary, and then moved to Drumheller to start a family; she and her husband opened and operated a successful practice until they sold it in 2015 and moved to Cochrane area. Dr. Fuh is not ready to retire yet, as she feels she still has lots to offer her patients. She is comfortable with all aspects of dentistry and loves to explain her dental procedures with analogies that she hopes will allow you to understand better (please humour her!). She is very excited to be joining the Sierra Dental team and looks forward to working with all her patients to provide them with the best care possible.
In her spare time, Dr. Fuh enjoys piano, singing, hiking, rafting, travelling, and hanging out with her bees.
Dr. Meet Thakkar
Dr. Meet Thakkar has recently joined the team at Sierra Dental and is excited to provide exemplary patient care. Dr. Thakkar graduated with Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Manitoba, being the recipient of multiple awards and scholarships. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Dental hygiene (Gold Medalist) that he completed prior to his dental schooling. He has been practicing as a general dentist in Calgary and surrounding areas since last two years. He believes in a patient-centered care that includes comprehensive treatment planning with multiple treatment options.
Dr. Thakkar has been in the field of Dentistry at different capacities including Dental Hygiene and is an advocate of ‘healthy and happy smiles’. Dr. Thakkar practices general dentistry and is passionate about all aspects of dental treatment including root-canal treatment, oral surgery, Invisalign, crowns, bridges and esthetic fillings. He also offers sedation options to the patients who feel nervous or anxious about dental treatment. He is thorough at answering any questions you have regarding your oral health and is dedicated at providing the positive patient experience.
In his spare time, Dr. Thakkar loves hiking and travelling and is an avid chef. He is a huge pet lover who lives in Airdrie with his wife Juhi and his cat ‘Tubby’.
Dr. Jessica Thomas
Dr. Jessica Thomas wanted to be a dentist from a young age and continues to enjoy learning more about her chosen field. While Dr. Thomas practices general dentistry, she has a particular interest in pediatrics, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. She enjoys developing relationships and getting to know her patients. Through communication and sharing personal experiences, she endeavours to make a visit to the dentist less stressful. Every person is different, and Jessica appreciates each of her patients’ individualities. She makes every effort to provide a personalized approach to each of her patients.
Dr. Thomas was born and raised in Calgary but attended university in the United States, where she earned her BSc in Exercise Science. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she attended dental school at the University of Alberta, graduating with her DDS degree in 2006. She also shared her knowledge with others, while teaching at Dalhousie University School of Dentistry in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Dr. Thomas has a number of interests and hobbies. She lives with her husband and two cats and enjoys time with them. She is also the oldest of six children and loves to spend time with her six nieces and eight nephews. Jessica plays the piano and is qualified to teach the Royal Conservatory piano curriculum. As an undergraduate and high school student, she taught piano lessons. Jessica also loves learning, music, reading, writing and other artistic pursuits like refinishing furniture.
Dr. Zimrisa Loga
Dr. Zimrisa Loga received her Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Royal University in Calgary. Shortly after, she moved to Edmonton to pursue dentistry and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alberta. She is very excited to be back in Calgary and closer to the mountains!
Dr. Loga enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and welcomes patients of all ages. She believes that patient education is crucial when it comes to dental visits. Her goal is to maintain a transparent relationship with all of her patients and to make every experience comfortable and enjoyable. Dr. Loga enjoys getting to know all of her patients and will take the time to answer any questions you may have.
Dr. Loga is very passionate about giving back to her community through volunteer work. She has provided free dental care to locals in remote villages in Peru through a dental mission trip. She found this to be a truly humbling experience and would love to have the opportunity to help out again in the future. While in school, she was an avid volunteer with the SHINE dental clinic that focused on providing free emergency dental care to Edmonton’s underserved population. In her spare time, Dr. Loga enjoys being in the outdoors, hiking, travelling and spending time with her husband and family.
Meet the Hygienists
Manjot graduated from the University of Alberta dental hygiene program in 2016 with honours. She later returned to the University of Alberta to complete her baccalaureate degree specializing in dental hygiene. Upon completion of her degree, she was awarded the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta Gold Medal due to outstanding academic achievement.
Manjot enjoys creating meaningful relationships with her patients and making positive differences in their oral health. She strives to provide each client with a unique and tailored experience by listening and adapting to each patient’s needs and concerns.
In her spare time, Manjot enjoys the outdoors and staying active. She feels grateful to live close to the Rockies and frequently visits the mountains to hike and enjoy the scenery. She also enjoys playing various sports some of which include soccer, basketball, badminton and volleyball. Manjot is very thankful for her large East Indian family and spends any remaining time with them.
