Dr. Meggan Schiffner
Dr. Meggan Schiffner’s passion is treating families and developing lasting relationships with each one of them. Her treatment plans are always centred around her patients’ comprehensive dental health with a focus on prevention and education, starting with patients as young as 1.
She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is specifically experienced in children’s dentistry, crowns, bridges, fillings, implant restoration and sedation dentistry.
She participates in outreach and speaking, as well as educating children in our local Calgary schools. She also works with mom’s groups, discussing healthy habits for expecting and new moms, along with their newborns.
She recently completed a 5 year commitment with the Calgary District and Dental Society. She held the position of Social Chair, Vice President, President and Past President.
Dr. Schiffner grew up in the small town of Lodi, in Northern California. She went to college in San Diego, where she completed her B.S. in Biology. For dental school, she attended the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, in San Francisco. She then moved to Dallas, Texas, where she practiced general dentistry before she moved to Calgary to be with her husband.
In her free time, Dr. Schiffner enjoys spending time with her family and exploring what Calgary has to offer with her two children Sterling and Scarlett. She also enjoys travelling; her most recent trips have been to France, Croatia, St. Lucia, Egypt, Australia and Costa Rica.
Dr. Adriana Sopruniuk
Dr. Adriana Sopruniuk was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and attended the University of Alberta, graduating with both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees. She is fluent in Polish and Ukrainian.
Dr. Sopruniuk is a member of the Calgary and District Dental Society, Alberta Dental Association and College and the Canadian Dental Association.
When she isn’t working, Dr. Sopruniuk is driving her two children to hockey, soccer and piano lessons. She also enjoys travelling, reading, golfing and running.
Dr. Mehbs Ali
Dr. Mehbs Ali is a native Calgarian, and growing up in the NW part of the city. He graduated from dental school in 1997 and has since returned to Calgary. He is married to his wife Nahid and has 2 children who are always busy playing hockey. When he’s not working or at the rink with his kids, Dr. Ali tries to find the time to work out or play some shinny himself. As a family, they love to travel, play board/card games and take their dog Ollie for hikes in and around the city.
Dr. Ali loves being a dentist and enjoys spending his days with his great team members and helping his patients. With his extensive continuing education, he provides a great wealth of knowledge to his team. Some of his areas of clinical practice focus include restorative and cosmetic dentistry, root canals, extractions and sleep apnea treatment.
Dr. Wes Prepchuk
Dr. Wes Prepchuk was born in Edmonton but grew up mostly in the Calgary area. He made the trek over to Sydney, Australia in 2005, accompanied by his wife and two little boys. Since then, they’ve added two more children to their family, including a little girl.
Dr. Prepchuk holds bachelor degrees in Biochemistry from the University of Lethbridge, Canada and in Dentistry from the University of Sydney, Australia.
He believes in the importance of offering a complete range of services to his patients and has yet to discover an aspect of dentistry that he doesn’t enjoy. He loves the interaction with people, the intricately detailed work, and the active learning environment that dentistry provides.
After 14 years of practicing dentistry in Australia, he and his now-grown family have moved back home to Calgary to settle, trading the sunny beaches and kangaroos of Australia for the snowy mountains and grizzly bears of Canada.
Dr. Lindsay Davidson
Dr. Lindsay Davidson was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. This is where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree before moving to Edmonton to pursue dentistry at the University of Alberta.
Dr. Davidson values her connections with patients and aims to build long-lasting relationships. Her number one priority is making you feel comfortable during your appointment. She practices all aspects of general dentistry and enjoys working with children. She welcomes all new patients and will always take the time to address any questions or concerns you might have.
In her free time, Dr. Davidson enjoys spending time with family & friends, listening to live music, and travelling. She also enjoys volunteering with non-profit dental organizations both at home and abroad.
Dr. Poorvi Brahmania
Dr. Poorvi Brahmania was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. She moved to Saskatoon, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Cell Biology and subsequent Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. She spent two years practising in her hometown prior to moving to Calgary.
Dr. Brahmania enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a particular interest in pediatric, neuromuscular and cosmetic dentistry. While being an avid traveller, she also finds time to volunteer in underserved areas of the world, providing dental care. She is currently an active member of the Canadian Dental Association, Calgary Alberta Dental Association and College, and the Calgary & District Dental Society.
Along with travelling, Dr. Brahmania enjoys exercising, attending yoga classes, and trying the cuisine of different cultures.
Dr. Rod Herchak
Dr. Rod Herchak was born and raised in SW Calgary. He graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Dentistry in 1980. He has maintained a high-quality dental practice in SW Calgary for over 35 years. His interests include the Calgary Flames, the Toronto Blue Jays, fishing, history and cooking.
Dr. Eleanor Lekach
Dr. Eleanor Lekach was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of Regina and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Following her DDS degree, Dr. Lekach completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton.
Through her residency at the U of A hospital, Dr. Lekach developed a keen interest in emergency dentistry including complex dental trauma, dentistry for medically complex patients, root canal therapy, implant dentistry, and wisdom tooth extractions. She also completed certification in IV conscious sedation and facial neuromodulator therapy for esthetics and TMD pain.
Dr. Lekach works to create a trusting relationship with her patients through oral health education and the development of specific treatment plans to address each patient’s unique needs. She has experience dealing with patients of all ages and strives to provide high-quality dental care in a collaborative and trusting environment.
Dr. Lekach is excited to be in Calgary and looks forward to exploring and building her life here in this exciting city. She enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering, cycling, travelling, playing hockey and many other sports, hiking, knitting and crafting, watching her favourite comedies, and caring for her growing plant collection.
Dr. Hazel Wright
Dr. Hazel Wright was raised in Brisbane, Australia, where it’s not uncommon for temperatures to soar into the high 40’s. She attended dental school at Griffith University on the beautiful Gold Coast, known for its beaches and warm weather.
Dr. Wright and her fiancé were drawn to Canada for its natural beauty and mountains. Since moving, they’ve been able to enjoy the amazing skiing and hiking Alberta has to offer.
Dr. Wright has had a few interesting career moves, from being an on-stage performer to an international flight attendant, and ultimately toward Dentistry. Her passion for healthcare is what drew her to the dental field. Dr. Wright finds that the combination of hands-on skills and mental stimulation is what makes dentistry such a rewarding career.
Dr. Rajwant Chima
Dr. Rajwant Chima was born and raised in India. She completed her Bachelors of Dental Surgery degree in 2009 and practiced general dentistry in India for 5 years before relocating to Calgary with her family. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alberta and moved back to Calgary to practice dentistry.
Dr. Chima believes in building lasting relationships with her patients and providing patient-focused, comprehensive care to all age groups. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a keen interest in children’s dentistry, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, extractions and root canal treatments. Her practice goal is to make each dental visit a comfortable experience with a focus on oral health education and preventive care. She is fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi.
Being raised in a very tight knit community in India, Dr. Chima is very passionate about giving back to the community and has been actively involved in outreach programs, providing dental care and education to underserved populations.
She is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association and Alberta Dental Association and College.
When she isn’t working, Dr. Chima enjoys spending time with her family and driving her 8 yr old to hockey, soccer and karate lessons. She’s an avid reader and loves exploring new cuisines.
Dr. Michael Siarkowski
Dr. Michael Siarkowski was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta.
Growing up, he was a nationally-competitive swimmer for the University of Calgary Swim Club and the University of Calgary Dinos.
He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial biology at the University of Calgary, his Master of Biomedical Technology degree at the University of Calgary, and his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
In his spare time, Dr. Siarkowski has hobbies in motorcycling, surfing, and reading.
