Dr. Mostafa Altalibi received his D.M.D from the prestigious McGill University, graduating with the highest honour as the valedictorian of his class and having won numerous other awards including the American Association of Orthodontists Award.

He then dedicated the next year to working with disadvantaged and disabled kids at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. His growing interest in orthodontics led him to the University of Alberta to pursue his passion for orthodontics. There he completed a master’s degree and developed tools to help physicians and orthodontists treat obstructive sleep apnea in children.

Dr. Altalibi is currently involved in exciting research at the positive psychology institute at the University of Pennsylvania, to establish the means to boost his patient’s self-esteem throughout orthodontic treatment. He’s also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta Undergraduate Dental Clinic. He has published numerous research articles in respected scientific peer-reviewed journals on cleft lip and palate, surgical procedures, obstructive sleep apnea, and the new cone-beam tomography technology. Moreover, Dr. Altalibi is an examiner and fellow of the Royal College of Canada.

Outside of orthodontics, he enjoys healthy living, with an active lifestyle of travelling, camping, hiking, Cross Fit and yoga.

Dr. Javier Cabrales

Dr. Javier Cabrales completed the Graduate Periodontics program at the University of Manitoba in June 2020. Prior to his periodontal training, he received his DMD from the University of Saskatchewan in 2014 and thereafter worked as a general dentist for 3 years prior to entering postgraduate studies.

As a trained periodontist, he specializes in the placement of dental implants and the management of periodontal disease.

Dr. Kiarash Shabehpour (or Dr. Kia as his patients tend to call him) started his dentistry journey in 1998. After earning his DDS degree in dentistry and practicing for a few years, he moved to Canada with his wife.

In Canada, he attended dental school again at the University of British Columbia for his 2nd degree in dentistry, this time a DMD, practiced for a few more years in both Vancouver and Prince George and then completed three extra years of specialist training in Endodontics at UBC. Dr. Shabehpour primarily helps his patients and colleagues with root canal-related treatments and surgeries on a referral basis. He is fluent in English and Farsi.

In his spare time, Dr. Shabehpour spends time with his family, indulges in the martial art of Judo, and can be found on the slopes, skiing.

Dr. Shabehpour is a proud supporter of animal rescue groups worldwide.

Dr. Hesam Tehrani

Originally from Toronto, Dr. Hesam Tehrani practiced as a general dentist for several years in Ontario before moving to Alberta to pursue his interest in periodontal surgery by completing his Master’s degree in Periodontology at the University of Alberta. Dr. Tehrani received his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from York University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Dr. Tehrani has had the pleasure of living in Toronto, London, Pembroke, Barrie and Red Deer. He enjoys being involved and giving back to his community and looks forward to meeting you. During his free time, Dr. Tehrani enjoys working out at the local gym or at a dojo, and practicing karate and taekwondo. He enjoys the outdoors, as well as all kinds of cuisine. Since becoming an Albertan, he has taken to skiing, mountain biking, and hiking, and is keen to hear any recommendations you may have about trails or restaurants!

Dr. Morgan Gwin

Originally from Edmonton, Dr. Morgan Gwin obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering before completing the DDS program at the University of Alberta in 2015.  She spent three years in private practice in the Edmonton area before returning to graduate school at the University of Washington to specialize in Prosthodontics.

The field of Prosthodontics deals with the replacement of missing teeth and oral tissues with the goal of restoring oral form and function so that patients can comfortably and confidently speak, chew, laugh and smile.  Prosthodontists have advanced training in smile esthetics, restorative dentistry, dental implants, full arch prostheses (patients may know these as “All on 4” or “fixed complete dentures”), and removable prosthetics (complete and partial dentures). She provides a range of treatments, from the restoration of single teeth to complex, full-mouth rehabilitations that involve teeth, implants, or a combination of both.

Roni Yusefov

Denturist

Roni is a second-generation denturist, who developed a passion for dentures at a young age while visiting his Dad often at their family denture clinics back home in Toronto. He graduated in 2016 from a well-known and highly accredited school; George Brown College where he obtained his license to practice as a Denturist across Canada.

In his free time, Roni likes to spend it outdoors fly fishing for trout, playing basketball, hockey and of course spending time with family and friends.

Roni is always putting his patients’ needs first, using his excellent level of commitment, skill and patience in both his professional and personal life ( we all know the patience you need to catch a fish)
